১. Definition (সংজ্ঞা)
A conditional sentence expresses a condition and its result. It shows that one action depends on another action or situation.
বাংলায়:
শর্তবাচক বাক্য হলো এমন বাক্য যা একটি শর্ত এবং তার ফলাফল প্রকাশ করে। অর্থাৎ, কোনো কাজ ঘটবে অন্য কোনো শর্ত পূরণ হলে।

- Wish এবং If only বাক্যের সাথে শর্ত প্রকাশে ব্যবহার হয়।
- Were এর পরিবর্তে was কখনো কখনো ব্যবহার হয়, তবে আনুষ্ঠানিক ভাষায় If I were বেশি প্রচলিত।
