Drug addiction means excessive attraction to illegal hard substance or drug such as heroin, cocaine, marijuana etc. is called drug addiction. Drug addiction is curse of modern civilization. It is now a global problem. Frustration, family conflict, rejection of love are the causes of this addiction.

When there is no hope left for the young people, they become addicted to drug. The drugs are very expensive. Young boys cannot afford to buy them. In order to arrange money, they have to commit many kinds of social crimes like hijacking, looting, plundering, killing etc.

Drug addiction has a terrible effect on human body. People feel drowsy and lose appetite. The poisonous effect of drug is dangerous. It may damage the brain and all internal functions of the body. The treatment of the drug addicts is expensive and difficult.

In Bangladesh the drug problem has become so acute. Thousands of families in cities, towns and even rural areas are directly or indirectly affected by it. Recently, Bangladesh is often used by the international drug smugglers as transit of transmission of drug from one country to another.

Road accidents are very common in cities nowadays. Every year, many people die and get hurt in car crashes. Before cars, traveling was slower but safer. But now, the main reason for accidents isn’t the cars themselves, it’s people. Some cities have roads that are too small and can’t handle all the traffic. And sometimes, people don’t follow the rules properly.

Both drivers and pedestrians break traffic laws, causing accidents. When slow vehicles like rickshaws crash with faster ones like buses or trucks, it gets even worse. To make roads safer, we need to do a few things. We should build new roads and put traffic lights in important places. People should be reminded about traffic rules through radio, TV, newspapers, and posters. And those who don’t follow the rules should face serious consequences.

 

If city governments work well, we can definitely reduce the number of accidents. Road accidents are a big problem in our society. In recent years, their numbers have gone up a lot. Many families suffer because of these accidents. We need to act quickly to solve this problem. The government and everyone else should work together to make our roads safer.
